Multnomah Falls on the Bridge

Multnomah Falls on the Bridge
This is Multnomah Falls, taken from the bridge, and was my “Diversity” entry for the World Wide Panorama project in Spring, 2009.

Taken from the bridge at Multnomah falls, the idea was to illustrate the theme of “diversity” through diversity of heights. In truth, this was sort of a last-minute idea, because my original concept didn’t work out. It’s sometimes a challenge to come up with a suitable idea for the theme, and this one ended up being more difficult than it should have been, perhaps because of being my first.

My youngest daughter was with me on this trip, but she disappeared, along with everyone else on the bridge, by judicious use of timing and aim while taking the pictures. 🙂 The VR wasn’t that tough to take, but it did require a fair amount of retouching to remove numerous water drops from the lens. I did not take a nadir shot, but used Photoshop to remove the tripod.

On a separate trip, I took a series of VRs from different locations around the site. Those will probably get posted in the future, and possibly assembled together into a virtual tour, if there’s sufficient interest.
