This is the Eagle Marsh lookout at the Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge .
This 360 photograph is my entry for the most recent World Wide Panorama Project, Best of 2023. It is the main wildlife viewing location in the Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge near Salem, Oregon. Since it is the main viewing location, there are pamphlets and posters that explain things. There are other viewing areas at the refuge. Some are just level spots to part and watch, with no cover. Others are blinds, largely enclosed spaces with windows to allow observation of wildlife without disturbing the animals.
